The A229 Plus records 2K front and 2K rear on dual Sony STARVIS 2 sensors with HDR on both channels. The larger second-generation sensor captures about 2.5x more dynamic range than older cameras, so it often reads plates in low light better than cheaper cameras that merely claim 4K.
