Upgrade your 2018-2023 Jeep Wrangler JL / Gladiator JT with Prolific Audio’s custom-fit radio kit for the Sony XAV-AX8500 radio.

If your car is Amplified: (PLEASE READ)

Our kit works with either amplified or unamplified systems. However, if you are amplified and you plan on upgrading your speakers in the future and or adding a subwoofer(or better). The whole audio system needs to be upgraded. Our system will not work with some of the speakers hooked up to the factory amplifier and others not. This is due to the digital amplifier in this vehicle and how the radio interfaces to the digital factory amp.

Yes — this kit retains your OEM sensor and camera system with no modification needed.

Does it retain steering wheel controls?

Yes — compatible with most steering wheel audio control setups.

Does it retain my vehicle settings?

Yes — this kit retains all needed vehicle settings adjustments.

Does it retain my Stock USB?

No — The stock USB has data throughput problems, and we do not recommend using it. Our kit comes with a new USB-C input to use for the new media center.

I recently installed the XAV-9500ES kit in my Jeep JL, and I’m genuinely impressed with how much it’s improved my audio experience. The sound quality is a huge upgrade over the stock system, and the touchscreen is incredibly responsive compared to the old aftermarket deck I took out. I was initially concerned about the installation, but everything fit perfectly and went far smoother than I expected. I would definitely buy it again.

I couldn’t be happier with this radio. It look stock. All my stock controls work as they did including the backup camera. The kit is definitely 3D printed but the parts you can see when its finished look like a million bucks. I’m doing one for my buddy’s JL next week.

I was originally planning to going with a different radio my friend talked me into, but after some thought, I decided to spring for the XAV-9500ES instead. Now that it’s installed, I’m so glad I did! The larger display is a huge bonus, I honestly wasn’t expecting it to sound any better but the sound quality is fantastic. I was a bit worried it might be overkill, but it fits perfectly and feels like a real upgrade from the stock deck. The installation wasn’t bad either, and now that it’s all set up, I’m happy I went with the 9500. HOWEVER, BE WARNED THE STOCK USBS DO NOT WORK WITH THIS RADIO THEY SAY THE UCONNECT MODULE CONTROLS THEM. Other than that It’s definitely been worth the extra investment!
